Glorious Revolution

In this presentation we studied The Glorious Revolution which teaches me that their were many acts developed at the time of The Glorious Revolution. Throughout the presentation they introduced many ideas that led to the Glorious Revolution as well as effects the Glorious Revolution . What I liked about their presentation was that they had a good thesis that only needed little correcting, they were very clear when it came to their argument and that made things easier for us to understand.  I also think that they had very good though out evidence that did support everything that they were saying. All they needed to improve on organizing their evidence so that it makes sense because there was so many acts they could use to support their argument they just need to place it all in the correct order.

Atlantic Slave Trade

The following presentation was about The Atlantic Slave Trade and it was an interesting presentation due to all the good evidence the presenters exhibited.  I concluded that their thesis was good except i thought that maybe they could not be too specific when it came to evidence usage in the thesis statement.  I think that they were being too specific on their thesis when it came to using their buckets. but other than that i thought they had a good presentation with good supporting facts that did prove their argument in their thesis. I learned that The Atlantic Slave Trade had to do with how they transported slaves and forced them into hard labor . but their presentation helped me develop an example of a good thesis .

The Enlightenment

This presentaion was about The Enlightenment, whicha was the time when many philosophers rised to express their philosophy to the people, whether it was for religion, form of goverment,or,natural rights. Throughout the presentaion the members did present good eveidence and knew what they were talking about. But what I felt that they needed to improve on was on their thesis because, I was felt as if they were being too gernal when it came to the problems that they faced. they included in their thesis statment such as, " They faced many social, econmic and political issues." Which what i think is too general and tey needed to add more information as to what were thoes issues that they faced that shaped The Enlightenment. I feel that that was the only thing that left me confused but other than that i think they did a wonderful job on their presentation and it was very interesting.  I liked he part when they had the mini debate on John Locke and Montesque becaus eit gave me a better understanding on the conflicts that the philosophers had when it came to their point of views in certain issues. Which in this case, was the argument of human nature and of the natural rights one should recive.  that really caught my attention and made the presentation more catchy.

The Great Awkening

My presentation was about The Great Awakening. Throughout this presentation and throughout my research, I learned that the Great Awakeing was a movement of religious revival and influenced wars like; The American Revolution and was inspred by The Decloration of independence. It also gave me an oppurtunity to find out more about famous preachers that inspred manuy of the colonist to give their life to Jesus Christ and to confert into christianity they also seeked for reliogious freedom. i felt that i could have done better in my presentation because I got very nervous and we did not include the Chesapeke information that related to the thesis , which consequently messed up my presentation. But I feel that I could have done better and i think i just have to stop being too general in my thesis when it comes to introducing the buckets. I gave out to many inforation when it came to New England and did not focus on Chesapeke, which was what messed up the presentation but other than that I think that the presentaion was okay.
